Anais Nin says it so PRETTY

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom" Anais Nin
I don't know why we do it, but it's so true isn't it... we don't make changes until it becomes so miserable and uncomfortable we can't take it anymore. Then we make a change.
It can be something major in our lives such as a bad marriage that we just keep thinking we can fix. A job we absolutely hate, we dream of Friday and dread Monday.
Or something small ... like when we are in bed and our feet are so cold but we keep wrapping then up in the blankets , maybe rub them against your partner to warm them up.  You lay there miserable ...until you finally can't take it any more and you get up and put on a pair of socks. Isn't that ridiculous. I have done it... more than once.
I could go on and on with examples... but you get the point.  You've done it yourself. It's human nature.
I don't know about you but I am done with situations that cause me pain that I can change. Self inflicted painful situations aren't pretty. Not at all.  Wearing socks to bed every night is a start.

  2. This is so timely! I layed in bed this morning very cold and did not get up to get more blankets. I did finally go to sleep, but it took longer than it should have.

  6. So true. Thanks for reaffirming what I've been feeling for some time. Now, I'm bursting out of the bud and moving forward. Not knowing what the future holds is exciting. The best is yet to come.
