In kindergarten I used to get in trouble at nap time because I talked instead of napped. Each and EVERY school report card from my first day until I graduated, reported I talked too much. I got in trouble constantly in school. But, I kept talking... I just had so much to say! I was even voted "most talkative" my senior year in high school. We are what we are . I say ... own it!
I am doing just that. I absolutely love doing my TALK show on blog talk radio.
I am working on a you tube channel TALK show style!
I "talk" to you on this blog. I will "talk" to you in my book.
I still have so much to say! THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!

ReplyDeleteHa! I have to laugh, and those that know me now do as well. My parents received a letter from my Kindergarten teacher saying how shy and reserved I was, and she was concerned! My parents laughed...I never shut up!!! Still don't! LOL What can I say, some of us just have a lot to say.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm listening! Don't know if I was a good listener in school or not, but my friends say I am now.
ReplyDeleteI think you are about due to tell us all a funny Kristin story. Not that I want something to happen that's funny, but maybe one we haven't heard yet. :)
Happy Wednesday to you.

Oh this is so funny! You totally described me too. Preschool especially was challenging for me. In high school my teachers called me a "social butterfly" and asked if there was anyone I wouldn't talk too. I looked around and responded "no". Even now all these years later my husband and kids talk about how I am forever meeting people in lines, in the airport, shopping, etc. I am like you....I like to talk :-) Good for us talkers!!!! What a quiet place it would be if it weren't for folks like us!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about how so true it is that what a child gets into trouble for in KG is usually an indicator of that child's strengths as an adult.

Yup! That is how I was growing up too and still am. I was dating a guy once and while my girls and I were visiting with each other, he said, "I bet no one ever gets a word in around here with you guys do they?" WHAT?! :)
ReplyDeleteYay you! It's great to know who you are and not only that but how to use it to your advantage!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am right there with you! Some of us just have the gift of gab. Great way to make this work for you. You're a wonderful positive influence so why not?!
